CDSCO's 2026 approvals for dental antibiotic, anesthetic & antiviral formulations

The CDSCO has approved a new broad-spectrum antibiotic for orofacial infections dosed per label, a novel local anesthetic with faster onset and prolonged duration for dental procedures, and an antiviral targeting herpetic oral lesions. These formulations are now available across India, offering clinicians enhanced options for infection control and anesthesia in dental practice.
