CDSCO's 2026 approvals for dental antibiotics, anesthetics & antivirals

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) has approved new dental formulations including a broad-spectrum antibiotic for orofacial infections dosed per label regimens, novel local anesthetic agents with faster onset and prolonged duration, and an antiviral indicated for herpetic oral lesions. These products, now available throughout India, expand options for infection control, pain management, and antiviral prophylaxis in dental practice.
