Wockhardt’s Zaynich receives CDSCO approval following FDA endorsement

Zaynich, a new broad-spectrum antibiotic by Wockhardt, secured CDSCO approval on 27 May 2026 after earlier US FDA clearance, marking India’s first antibiotic to gain reciprocal regulatory endorsements. Indicated for resistant Gram-positive infections including odontogenic abscesses, the recommended adult dental regimen is 500–600 mg orally every 12 hours for 7–10 days. Now available across India, Zaynich offers dentists a potent option for refractory oral infections.
