UK Expands Overseas Dentist Registration Capacity to 2,400 per Year

The UK’s General Dental Council announced an expansion of exam capacity, allowing up to 2,400 overseas dentists to register annually. The move aims to address NHS shortages. International dentists, including Indian BDS holders, must meet GDC requirements, including IELTS scores and professional experience, and apply through the new streamlined process. The expansion is effective from 2026.
