3-4 days a week with mentorship

Hi there! Starting Jan or Feb 2027 we would like to offer a supportive job to a new dentist. Currently we have 3-4 days available to work alongside the principal dentist, who will be available for mentorship (if required). Why do you want this job? Long appointments available to ease you into your new career.  The principal dentist with 29 years of experience loves dentistry and is eager to share this knowledge with her newest intern. Flexible days if you require time off to do continuing education. Why do we want you? We would like to pass on our passion to the next generation, so we seek an enthusiastic dentist who is keen to learn and grow, and perform to their best. We seek someone with a warm heart and is not all about the money. Treat people how you would like to be treated. Be kind. We are an ethical, evidence based practice. Personality: Our team of 6 dentists is a mixed bag of personalities: jovial, eccentric, compassionate, warm and technical. Knowing when to don the right personality is important when connecting to the many personalities we have as patients. You need to be flexible. Work hours: 9-5pm. 4 days, or 3 days, or 2 days or one day - you decide. Saturdays optional. Procedures: As a general dental practice our clientele are generally middle of the range, working families. We do all procedures except placing implants. Implant placement will begin in 2027 once we are fully set up. We currently do implant crowns, fixed and removable prosthodontics, restorative including cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, and clear aligners. Equipment: OPG, Medit i700 scanner, a microscope, intraoral cameras in all rooms, ceiling TVs, and all modern dental equipment basics. There are 4 dental chairs on one clinic at Lismore and 3 in the other at Ballina. You will be working alongside one or two other dentists each day. Vibe: Having mentored many new graduates over  the past 20 years, our established team of core staff are more like a family. Vibes are inclusive and respectful. We seek the same in you. Accommodation: Basic accommodation in a studio style cottage (in the rain forest) can be provided free of charge for the first 3 months until you settle into your own accommodation. A car is a necessity in regional NSW. When to start: The principal dentist will be ready from December 2026 to mentor. If you are experienced then we have availability starting now.
