Dental Front of House Reception

ABOUT US At The Dentist, we believe exceptional care starts the moment you walk through the door. THE ROLE As our Front of House Host, you are the first face patients see, and the feeling you leave them with is crucial to their entire visit. This isn’t a standard receptionist role. You’ll bring genuine warmth and presence to the waiting room, making every patient feel at home before they’ve even been called in. Day to day, you’ll manage patient arrivals, take payments, book and organise appointments, handle recalls and treatment plans, and keep the diary running smoothly. You’ll bring the know-how of a dental reception, and pair it with an instinct for hosting and hospitality and an ability to read a room and lift it. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR Experience on a dental reception. You understand how a dental practice runs, from diaries and recalls to treatment plans and patient payments. Experience using Dentally is strongly preferred. If you’ve used another practice management system (such as SOE, R4 or Pearl), that’s great too. Someone with natural warmth. You put people at ease without even trying. High energy, genuine presence, and a love of speaking with people. Experience in creating welcoming and comfortable environments for others. Someone who thrives when they’re the calm centre of a busy space. Organised and dependable. Patients trust you with their time, and you can manage a busy space. Love to learn! Especially about dentistry and new systems and tools. Quick on the computer! WHAT WOULD BE A BONUS A background in hospitality, hosting, events or any guest-facing role alongside your dental experience. We care as much about how you make people feel as what you know, so if you’ve worked front of house in a hotel, restaurant or similar, we’d love to hear about it. WHERE WE ARE We currently operate across multiple sites in London, including Balham, Putney and Earlsfield, and we’re actively expanding across the city.
