CDSCO approves Articaine for dental anaesthesia

CDSCO has approved Articaine hydrochloride as a local anaesthetic agent indicated for spinal infiltration, dental surgical procedures, and epidural anaesthesia. This provides Indian BDS graduates with a newer, faster-acting alternative to lignocaine for dental blocks, with improved bone penetration and lower systemic toxicity. Available in India following CDSCO approval.
