SDF failure rate higher on crowned teeth, study finds

A JADA study (Jan 2026) on silver diamine fluoride (SDF) effectiveness found that teeth with crowns before SDF treatment had a significantly higher failure rate than those without crowns. BDS dentists should consider this when planning SDF application for caries management in crowned teeth. Journal: JADA.
