GDC updates CPD requirements for UK dentists

The General Dental Council (GDC) has updated its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements for UK dentists. From 1 August 2026, dentists will need to complete 150 hours of CPD every five years. The GDC will also introduce a new online system for dentists to record and verify their CPD hours. Dentists are advised to familiarize themselves with the new requirements and ensure they meet the necessary standards.
